My card

Lawnscaping Challenge #58 | I woof you card by @gscrapbooks

If the embossed background technique looks familiar, it’s because I just did it in a recent tutorial which you can find here. I loved the look and decided to create it again. Don’t forget that post has a giveaway so join in before it’s to late.

And those cute little hearts? Totally my daughters idea using two different sizes. She’s a genius I tell ya!

you’re tweet Pop `n Cuts card | tutorial and giveaway

I was so excited to get my hands on this super cute stamp and die cut set by Doodlebug named Simply Tweetthe little birds are just freaking adorable! I paired the stamp set with the Hello PNC Insert and love how everything came together.

Making the card

Start by creating your card base out of white cardstock. Insert the Hello Insert into the PNC Base die, line up the tick marks, lay the cardstock on top, and cut using your Big Shot machine. Fold the PNC according to package directions. (If you’ve visited my blog before, then by now I’m sure you’re a pro with the Pop `n Cuts!).

Using a piece of green cardstock that is 4” x 12”, emboss one end of the paper using the Flourish Textured Impressions folder paired with the Circle Embossing Diffuser.

By using the Embossing Diffuser with the TI folder, it creates an open space where you can add a variety of things inside the flat space. In this case, I wanted to be able to add a circle without it being lifted up because of the embossing, I wanted it to lay completely flat against the paper.

Round the edges of your green cardstock and lay it on top of your closed PNC card base. The goal is to create an even white border on three sides. Once your placement is determined, score green cardstock.

Trim the non embossed side of your green cardstock enough that it doesn’t over hang the back of your card but covers the opening of the Hello PNC. Adhere green cardstock to PNC cardstock base.

Stamp and color the large bird cage and two small individual birds from the Simply Tweet stamp and die cut set. To cut, place the die cut around the stamped image, hold in place with a Post It Note, and run through your Big Shot machine.

The cut pieces come out perfect. No scissors required!

Use the 3” Circle Framelit from the Circles Framelit set to create a yellow circle out of patterned paper and glue into the circle space on your card front. Adhere the large bird in the center. Stamp and cut out the “you’re tweet” sentiment using the stamp set and glue down to the front as shown.

Using the Hello Sizzlits Set, cut one “hello” sentiment out of yellow patterned paper and two flourishes out of green cardstock.

Glue the “hello” sentiment to the Hello PNC piece. Adhere the two green flourishes as well, tucking one behind the hello (make sure when the card is closed it doesn’t poke out the end) and one at the lower right hand corner (trim if necessary if you have it go off the edge like I did).

To finish off the inside of your card, glue down the last two birdies, one each on a flourish. Your card if officially complete.

Those little birdies are the bomb right? I love them!
