cute (and quick!) Valentine’s

I had grand plans for the weekend. I was going to make each of my kids a unique to them, detailed, uber-amazing Valentine. Didn’t happen. So today, with time ticking away, I made these cute little Valentine’s for them. I used some paper from my stash and Valentine’s drawer (I like to keep themed papers together), grabbed some of my Fiskars squeeze punches (heart and circle), and wa-la. cute. quick. done.

Here’s a fun fact: the kids wont care that all the cards are the same, as long as the cards are attached to chocolate!

What exactly kept me from making those uber-amazing Valentines?

Here’s one thing… I was helping this cute boy…

love you card

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I figured I’d better get on the ball and start making some cards. Are you making any this year?

On this card I used the Hearts-a-Plenty pop-up dieI like it because it gives a big wow factor but is super easy to put together. I also got to use a new font…  I kind of love it! I think  the Butterfly Kisses font might be my new favorite… I love that it’s so whimsical! Hope you like it too!

Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Scenic Route and Cloud 9 patterned papers, Hearts-a-Plenty Pop-Up Die (Sizzix), Flowers w/ Stems, Leaves, & Hearts Die (Sizzix), Butterfly Kisses Font Die (Sizzix), Scallops Die (Sizzix), black pen (American Crafts).

Back to my mess…

Karen Burniston shows samples using her Sizzix 3D Dies (video from Scrap Time)

Christine at Scrap Time posted a great video from CHA of Karen showing samples of her Sizzix 3D dies. I love that she did the video, sometimes photos don't do the pop-ups justice. Thanks so much Christine!

Lawnscaping Challenge #2

With all my CHA creating, challenge #2 on the Lawnscaping blog almost got away from me. Tomorrow is the deadline so I’m glad I could fit it in. The challenge was to CASE one of Kelly Marie’s cards (Ms. Lawn Fawn herself!). I CASE’d this cute card titled “you are the apple of my eye.” I did alter it a bit but think I stayed pretty true to the over all design.

My card:

Supplies: Fly Free stamp set (Lawn Fawn), kraft cardstock (Bazzill), circle punch (Fiskars), scallop circle punch (Fiskars), Open Scallop Edger Punch (EK Success), red and blue cardstock (my stash drawer).

Thanks for stopping by, hope you’re staying warm! :-)
