lo: stealthy

I figured it was pretty sad that my youngest used my Bella Blvd. product before I did so today my goal was to use them on a layout. I'm a simple scrapbooker so a bit here and there suites me just fine and I love, love, love the cute little stamp!!! Needless to say, I am happy with today's creation.

Supplies: kraft cardstock, Bella Blvd. papers (Super Stud Cyber Kisses and Planetarium), cardstock stickers (Super Stud Label Additions), Super Stud stamp, black pen, Upper Crest border punch, and Thickers.

I feel like I’ve been more than a slacker in the scrapbook department lately. I’ve been scrapping for a long time and go through many ups and downs and pretty much just try to ride it out. This time - since I wasn't feeling it when it came to creating layouts - I decided to make a quilt and I think stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something completely different really helped. Towards the end of the quilt process, I couldn’t wait to be done so I could get back to scrapping! It feels good!

if I don’t pay attention, little people get into my stuff!

My youngest decided to make something for his older brother… when I was working on his Halloween costume and slightly distracted. Drew using my scrapbooking leftovers normally isn’t a problem. He normally knows what he is and isn’t allowed to use, but I happened to have put new product right above the drawer he’s allowed to get into so he thought it was okay… and he was being sweet to his brother...

I guess he likes the Bella Blvd. Super Stud labels and stamps as much as I do!

Is it just me or does his face totally say, “you know you love me!”

adventures in sewing (when you really don’t know what the heck you’re doing!)

I made a Rag Quilt… I am beyond happy with how it turned out! I’d never made a quilt before but always wanted to try and was wanting to break out of my comfort zone with creating so I decided to go for it... no time like the present!

• I used these directions.
• Fell in love the Fiskars 45mm Comfort Grip Rotary Cutter.
• I was originally only going to do the center colors but it wasn’t as big as I thought it would be (math and I aren’t friends).
• It was suppose to be a weekend project… and the main center portion was but then I had to go and add to it and extend the process.
• Bought black fabric to go around it to make it bigger… cut everything, pinned it… didn’t like it… took it all apart.
• Went and bought black fabric with polka dots and started over… liked it!
• Somewhere in there I had an adventure with the batting… I’ll spare you the details…
• In the middle of all this I started a Halloween costume (what was I thinking?!).
• Clipped everything with my Softouch Micro-Tip Scissors.
• wa-la!

I am a happy camper and am looking forward to when it finally gets cold (and stays cold!) because I’ll have something colorful and warm to curl up on the couch with!!!

anniversary card and a Christmas ATC

I have no idea where my time has gone lately because I haven’t created (or blogged!) in forever. I finally got a chance to make something yesterday (it was World Card Making Day after all) and it felt good!

Happy Anniversary Card

Supplies: Raindrop Background stamp, Everyday Sayings stamp set, ½” corner rounder, Scallop Sentiment border punch, white embossing powder, Versamark ink, Queen and Co. heart button, g.c.d. studios paper (plum berries), purple and white cardstock.

Christmas ATC

Supplies: Enjoy the Season Hero Arts Stamp, ¼” corner rounder, Quilted Corners border corner punch (this is so cool to use!), chalk, colored pencils, black pen, red and kraft cardstock.
