layouts and other stuff

I was so excited to finally get my mixer... I thought the Lil' Davis paper really made it pop (Castaway collection). I also used Heidi Grace Alpha Stickers, Lil Davis Felt Buttons, Heidi Grace Dimensional Flowers and Cardstock Journal Mounts. it came together in a snap!

stamp storage

This is how I currently store my stamps... it’s pretty self explanatory. All my stamps live in a cabinet. You can also see one of my favorite stamping accessories – the Fiskars Stamp Press… love this tool!

My acrylic stamps are stored in a 3-ring binder. A cheaper alternative to using a transparency is to use plastic page dividers and to cut the tabs off… I did that for a few sets because I can be a rather frugal girl! lol!

I use this container I found at Wal-Mart a few years back for my unmounted rubber alphas.

That’s about it. Sometimes things get shifted around but nothing major. I would eventually like to have a shelf where I can have my mounted images out and visible but that probably won’t happen any time soon. I’m a very visual person… if I can’t see it, I won’t use it.

new stuff to share

The above card was actually created using a sketch created by Sonda T. The Scenic Route Chipboard Flowers have been coated with Li’l Davis Glitter Glaze… this is the coolest stuff ever. sparkly and shiny with hardly any mess! love it! The “sisters” is from a Cosmo Cricket Rub-on set. The BoBunny dot paper is a favorite too… I’m a dot fan.

For years I avoided sketches, I’m not sure why. I guess part of me felt like I was cheating or something… who knows! After I finally tried a sketch here and there, I started to love them. They are a great starting off place if you feel stuck or unmotivated or just want to give yourself an assignment to focus on.

I love the Scrapworks chipboard that was included in the kit, so cute and versatile.

Our Life | Fiskateer blog

I had so much fun creating this album for the Fiskateer blog… I am loving the Cloud 9 Sunrise Smoothie papers, they are so easy to work with! The album is 12” x 6” acrylic (which was made by my husband) and has smaller flip pages inside in various sizes. I used my Threading Water Border punch too… I can’t even tell you how much I love this punch. This project was so fun to create and even though I used a lot of different supplies, it came together easily. It’s just a matter of doing things in steps.

28 Days - Photo Day 28

I actually took this picture on day 16 of the class but I think it counts because it was taken during class!

I can’t believe it’s the last day! I’ve had such a fun time teaching my 28 Days class and looking at the gallery at BPS, my students are awesome! Now I just need to get to work on something new.

28 Days - Photo Day 27

I remember when I could keep on top of everything with just my datebook but now I need the big calendar that we keep on the side of the fridge because it seems everyone always has something to do. If I didn’t keep it where everyone could see it, we’d probably be lost! My datebook still gets used, but it’s pretty much for the stuff I have to take care of… clean, chauffer, create, whatever! oh look… in two weeks there is overlapping sports camps… that’ll be fun!
