Happy Mother’s Day | card

Welcome to the April Pop It Ups Challenge! This months theme was either Mother’s Day or babies. A few weeks back I received Karen Burniston’s new embossing folders in the mail and I immediately knew what I wanted to do with one of them… and since it fit perfectly with a Mother’s Day idea, that’s what I went with. Hope you like it!

I know, I know, nothing is popping up. That’s okay though! Stay with me here – the GREAT thing about Pop It Ups dies is that they come with accessory dies and some also have extra matching accessories dies you can purchase. My point is, these extra dies can be used on there own and are PERFECT on there own.

For the front of my card I used the Butterflies Embossing Folder. I love the embossed look on white, it’s my favorite. I used one of the labels from the Accordion Fancy Label Pop It Ups set to create the opening in the front of the card. The cute little butterfly on the front was created using the Butterfly Pivot Card set.

On the inside, I created a slightly larger label using the Accordion Fancy Label Pop It Ups and topped it off with a butterfly I created using the Butterfly Pivot Card Pop It Ups set.

I made a beautiful card for my mom (Hi Mom! Look away… you see nothing!) and I know she will love it. Not that she wouldn’t love a pop-up card (she always does, she gets a lot of those from me!) but it’s nice sometimes to experiment and play and since Karen designed so many great accessory options with her Pop It Ups, I was able to do that. It was a blast!

On the front and insides of the card I used the Agatha Edges. I thought they gave the card a nice touch.

Hey Buddy card using the NEW House Pivot Die

Check it out! Elizabeth Craft Designs and Karen Burniston are pre-releasing one of Karen’s dies from the summer collection. Check out the super cute House Pivot Die Pop It Ups! The new die will be shipping mid-April. I can’t even tell you how much I adore that fence.

Instead of using all the traditional pieces that come with the House Pivot Die (because there are a ton!) I just used the roof piece and made a door for my dog house using the stitched oval from the Accordion Oval Card die set.

The fun “hey buddy” sentiment on the front is from the Simply Said stamp set from Paper Smooches.

The cute doggies and and fire hydrant are from the Critters at the Dog Park Lawn Fawn stamp set. I can always find the perfect set to use from them.

Happy Trails | card

Happy Trails card by @gscrapbooks

I decided to make a card with the Pop It Ups Accordion Circle die set. When I see it I automatically think mini-album since you can extend the pieces to however many pieces you want but I LOVE how it looks as a card. I will definitely being doing it again. I think it’s a fun interactive twist. :-)

I decided to add a backing card to my card, something I’ve never done with this style of die but I really like the look of it. Adds a quick and easy extra touch.

I used the matching Pop It Ups Square with Circle Frame Edges to decorate the inside of the card.

The super cute stamps are from Lawn Fawn, they’re called Happy Trails. I am kind of crushing on that little camper.
